Course Objective

This course provides an integrated education for the Doctor of Chiropractic in the Science chiropractic with an emphasis on diagnostic testing procedures of radiographic measurement. The risk benefit ratio of spine imaging (x-ray) will be discussed with emphasis on the clinical utility and the safety of the dosages used in Chiropractic practices. Detailed evidence will be presented from the peer-reviewed literature documenting the current radiographic measurement methods having reliability, validity, and clinical applicability of sagittal contours as they relate to diagnostic testing procedures; radiographic measurement procedures of sagittal spine radiographic displacements. Chiropractic clinicians will learn key radiographic measurements of 1) Pelvic morphology, 2) Cervico-Thoracic inlet morphology, 3) Straight spine syndrome thoracic elliptical b/a ratio; with information on how these unique measurements influence sagittal spine diagnostic testing procedures; radiographic measurement.
